Last week Edwin Ecker Jr. of North Waldoboro helped us heat up the Internet by sharing some trail camera photos of what he thought might be a mountain lion.
Thousands of you took the time to look at the photos, and dozens shared opinions on what you saw.
Unfortunately, the photos weren’t the clearest in the world, and it was pretty tough to figure out exactly what you were looking at.
This week, Ecker is back with a couple more photos, and as you’ll quickly see, these ones are much clearer.
He also sent along a photo with a photo of his own feline friend, which was captured on camera in nearly the same spot. As you can see, the house cat is much smaller.
So here’s his question to me: “Bobcat or young cougar?”

A house cat in the same spot gives a bit more perspective as to the size of the wild cat. (Photo by Edwin Ecker Jr.)
This time, I’m going with “bobcat.”
What do you think?
