Wild critters abound here in Maine. Keep your eyes peeled, and you never know what you’ll see.
Take advantage of technological advances, and you might even get photos of some cool animals, even if you’re sitting comfortably at home and your trail camera is out in the deep, cold woods.
Earlier this week Jeff Davis of Orrington checked in with just such a story.
Here’s what Davis had to say:
“Just thought I would send this picture to you that I got off one of my game cameras,” Davis wrote. “This picture was taken Dec. 5, 2013, at 8:52 a.m., approximately seven miles south of Moosehead Lake. I thought it was kind of cool to catch this on my camera since there have been articles and pictures of lynx in the paper recently.”
Davis said his trail camera has been in the woods, capturing images continuously for three years.
“This is by far my best capture yet, and I have had a lot of real good pictures come from this camera,” he wrote. “I let my cameras sit usually over a month before I check them, but this time it was seven weeks in between checking them because of weather, family, etc.”
