Maine Bowhunters Association banquet set for April 16

If you’re looking for an evening of fun and entertainment, and you enjoy bowhunting, you might want to head to Brewer on Saturday, April 16, for the Maine Bowhunters Association’s annual banquet.

The event will be held at Jeff’s Catering, and doors open at 5 p.m.

This year’s guest speakers are authors John Ford Sr. and Mark Nickerson, who bring their popular Blue Lights and Funny Cider act to town for the evening.

Single tickets are $30, while couples pay $55. To purchase tickets, go to mainebowhunters.com.

Those who purchase tickets before April 10 will qualify for an early bird contest: A night’s stay for two at Sally Mountain Cabins in Jackman.

Twenty-five percent of proceeds will be donated toward outdoor education in Maine.

Those interested in donating auction items can contact Deanna Page at 270-3400.
