Penobscot Fly Fishers taking signups for trolling streamer fly class

If you’re an avid fly tier and you’re looking for an enjoyable way to spend a day with like-minded individuals, the Penobscot Fly Fishers are planning an event that’s right up your alley.

On Sunday, April 3, the PFF will stage a class focusing on tying trolling streamer flies at the Penobscot County Conservation Association clubhouse in Brewer.

The class will be taught by PFF member Rob Dunnett, and attendees are sure to learn some new skills that will come in handy.

Students will learn to tie five different patterns during the daylong class, which starts at 9 a.m.

The entry fee if $40, and includes all materials and lunch. Participants should bring their own tying equipment and 6/0 or 8/0 black and white thread. Dunnett also says red thread will also come in handy.
